  • Tony Tsang, Chief Executive Officer

Tony Tsang is now CEO of DYXnet Group, Greater China’s leading carrier-neutral network service provider and a wholly-owned subsidiary of 21Vianet Group (NASDAQ: VNET). Launched in 1999, DYXnet Group provides enterprise clients worldwide with MPLS network, SD-WAN, Internet access, data centre, cloud and SaaS solutions.

Bringing over 28 years of collective experience in sales & marketing, general management, as well as business development functions in the telecommunications, Internet communications, information management and the digital marketing space. Tony joined 21Vianet Group as the Special Assistant to Group Chairman, and also the MD of HK Operations in 2018.

Prior to joining 21Vianet Group, Tony worked as General Manager / Managing Director in the Asia Pac region for a number of Silicon Valley start-up companies since Year 2000, namely WebEx, Coremetrics and HighTail. With those companies being acquired by the global IT players, Tony also had accumulated solid leadership experiences in heading a number of Business Units in companies like Cisco, IBM and OpenText during his past 20 years career journey.

The notable success was with WebEx. Being the GM for WebEx Asia and also one of the few key founding members for the business in the region, Tony had successfully set up the WebEx cloud collaboration service operation, growing WebEx’s business in Asia Pac from zero to a multi-million US dollars per annum software as a service revenue base.

Beginning his career under the Executive Management Trainee Program with Hong Kong’s dominant telecom service provider, Hong Kong Telecom, in 1992, the overseas job posting to the Cable & Wireless Communications Inc. in US West Coast office in Year 1999 gave Tony good exposure to the IT & start-up culture and practices in Silicon Valley.

Tony holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, with major in Economics and Business Management, from the University of Hong Kong.
