  • Lap Man , Founder & Chief Executive Officer

      Lap Man is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of DYXnet Group, which has become Greater China’s leading carrier-neutral network service provider since launch in 1999.  

       

      The company has established around 200 Internet and network (Points-of-presence) POPs in 59* cities  and serves geographies that include mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Vietnam. Today, DYXnet has established 16,000 VPN clients’ sites via MPLS technology.

       

      In September 2014, Lap sold certain DYXnet business interests for US$200 million and became involved as an “angel investor” in local start-ups such as HKTaxi, 51WM and Delivery Republic. He also advises young entrepreneurs through the auspices of the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups.

       

      Before launching DYXnet, Lap was one of the minds behind LinkAGE Online, which grew to become Hong Kong’s largest corporate Internet service provider before being acquired by PSINet in 1998.

       

      He was honoured in the “Capital Leaders of Excellence” awards scheme in 2009 and appeared two years later in the “Excellence in Achievement of World Chinese Youth Entrepreneurs” rankings organised by the World Federation of Chinese Entrepreneurs Organization. In 2012, he was a winner in the “Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards” and later named one of the “Top 10 Most Innovative High Technology Innovators in Asia” by RHA Media. He was also awarded a “Who’s Who Chinese Business Leader Honor Certificate” by the Asian College of Knowledge Management.

       

      Lap graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor’s Degree in Japanese Studies and became interested in the Internet during an exchange program at the Sophia University in Japan in 1993.

  • Jacky Wan, President, Network Business

      Jacky Wan has served DYXnet Group for some 17 years and became President of the Network Business after the merger of DYXnet’s Virtual Private Network with 21Vianet Group’s Content Centric Internet Backbone units. He is responsible for the network business unit’s strategic direction and operations management.

       

      Before the company merger, Jacky was the Co-CEO of Network Business and was fully responsible for the whole Network Business Unit.

       

      Jacky was previously Head of the International Business Team, established in 2008 to explore opportunities in the wholesale market. He led this team until 2013, transforming it into a significant revenue contributor by winning business from global carriers, Fortune 500 companies and leading international brands. Jacky’s efforts have been instrumental to establishing DYXnet as a brand that attracts global organisations seeking to establish a presence in Greater China.

       

      Before that, Jacky served the Group for nearly nine years as a member of the Hong Kong Direct Sales Team, holding posts such as account executive, assistant sales manager and strategy sales manager. He was top salesperson for six consecutive years and increased monthly contract value by a factor of 100, largely by demonstrating the importance of tailored ICT solutions.

       

      In an earlier career, he worked in the Business Promotion Department of the Sakura Bank, now known as Sumitomo Mitsui Bank.

       

      Jacky graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor’s Degree in Japanese Studies.

  • Wallace Ng, President, Resources Sharing Centre

      ICT industry veteran Wallace Ng is President of DYXnet Group’s Resources Sharing Centre, responsible for planning and managing data centre network resources. He also oversees procurement procedures, IT resources and customer care development.

       

      During his 10-year tenure, Wallace has played a number of senior management roles and contributed to DYXnet Group’s drive for excellence in business development, strategic planning and customer relations management.

       

      He was previously Co-CEO of Network Business, specialising in strategic planning and operational management, as well as overseeing the company’s entire network business. Wallace also served as Customer Service Vice President earlier and was responsible for establishing the Customer Service Centre, Project Management Department and Customer Service Engineering Department.

       

      Before joining DYXnet, Wallace founded Software-as-a-Service provider Corpmart and served as Business Director, responsible for operations, sales strategy and corporate sector business development. He also worked as General Sales Manager for PSINet and led a 40-strong team that specialised in equipping enterprise customers with Internet solutions.

       

      Wallace graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering.

       
  • Max Yeung, President, Technology & Research

      As DYXnet Group’s President of Technology & Research, Max Yeung’s responsibilities centre on establishing a leadership position in the areas of network architecture and security, as well as Internet connectivity, cloud computing and data centre capabilities.

       

      He is a telecommunications industry veteran and holds more than 20 years’ experience in engineering, consultancy, network architecture, product development and management, along with a strong background in data analytics.

       

      Max was previously Chief Technology Officer, specialising in backbone engineering, development of operational support systems and advanced IP-optimised networking architecture. As such, he played a significant role in pioneering the standards and technologies that have shaped today’s Internet world.

       

      He graduated from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering.
